Dear Friends, Acquaintances, and Strangers,
How else could I address a public news letter? Well,
2005 has been a busy year for me. I'm still working full-time at
Hummingbird, and I passed my nine year anniversary there in
August. Software always poses new and interesting challenges!
For the first time ever, I took a vacation and left the North
American continent in March. Read my vacation report and view
photos here: http://www.ryankidd.com/...
We continue to have a weekly Bible Study group at our home.
It's a good time to meet new friends, to connect as a community in our homes, and to
grow in our faith. We meet every Thursday at 7pm for dinner, singing and Bible Study.
We faced a great loss in our home this year. One of our of most faithful bachelors broke faith and got
married. JP and Cindy were united in holy matrimony Oct 29th. See the photos here:

But there were also gains, for our home got a new roof and a new driveway, as well as a new car for the driveway (2001 Corolla). Nathan also got his own car, and all my old passengers got cars too. So now I'm putting a FOR SALE sign on my 12 passenger 1999 Astro van. See photos http://ryankidd.com/html/0110.html
For the past 15 months I've been working as part of a team on a Court Challenge project to oppose federal
gun laws which I believe to be unconstitutional and a threat to the
life and liberty of Canadian citizens. Mao said "power comes from
the barrel of a gun." Do you think it's in the interest of public safety to trust our
government with a monopoly on fire power? History has proven over
and over that power corrupts, and corrupt governments kill their
own citizens (check out http://InnocentsBetrayed.com ); that's
why we need to maintain checks and balances in our political
system: including the balancing factor of an armed citizenry. You
can read about the Scrap C-68 Court Case here:

Finally, I've been working on a project to publish free audio
sermons on the web. Basic content and the first free Audio DVD
are now available from http://www.SermonAudio.ca
My parents and brothers and sisters are doing well. Here's
a recent family picture:
Here's a picture of me getting ready to eat a snack at Thanksgiving

and cousins (Dec 10th party at my house)

Hope you all had an incarnational Christmas; have a great new year seeking first the Kingdom and righteousness of the Lord Jesus.
Your Friend/Acquaintance/Stranger,
Ryan
